This page links to various European resorts we have stayed in. There are times when having a base for a week is a better option than the constant travelling of a road trip.
Most of these resorts are fairly low budget and the only one we consistently visit that is at all pricey is the Marriott resort near Marbella. At this resort we tend to use the facilities and classes and do less exploring than normal although the visits here and here show we still managed some travelling!
